Video: ‘Green’ Skating Rink Brings Winter to Redwood City
Peninsula residents have been gliding on and enjoying the 60' x 67' rink.
It looks like ice, feels like ice, so it must be ice?
The new on Friday, Nov. 19 is actually made of a synthetic material, similar to rinks on cruise ships, that is much more environmentally sustainable. There are no chemicals like freon to cool the ice or wasting gallons of water.
This choice of rink also reduces costs for a grand total of $30,000 of sponsorships plus the cost of tickets.
