Horsley Elected San Mateo County Board President For Third Time

This is the third time Horsley, who represents the county's Third District, has been appointed board president by fellow supervisors.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Don Horsley was unanimously chosen to serve another term as president of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, the county announced Tuesday.

This is the third time Horsley, who represents the county's Third District, has been appointed board president by fellow supervisors. Horsely is in the last year of his third and final term on the Board.

Horsley's main goals in 2022 include further working to eradicate homelessness in the county, focusing on community safety, and "ensuring policies and funding for housing, transportation, job training and other services reach the most vulnerable residents."

“The challenge of ending homelessness is ongoing, but this year we have additional resources that will be invaluable, from the purchase of hotels to the creation of a state-of-the-art navigation center providing even more safe housing for the unhoused,” Horsley said in a news release. “I look forward to this Board tackling this social dilemma as a top priority this year.”
