Man Convicted Of Child Molestation And Sexual Battery In San Mateo County: DA
The conviction came six years following the first unreported incident after a second victim came forward, prosecutors said.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A Redwood City man faces up to 12 years in state prison after a jury convicted him of child molestation and sexual battery involving two separate victims, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.
Abraham Perez Cisneros, 46, was found guilty on Wednesday of multiple felony and misdemeanor counts, including child molestation and sexual battery, the DA’s office announced. The charges stem from incidents in 2015 and 2021, prosecutors said.
Cisneros’ first victim, who was 12 at the time, was molested by him in 2015, prosecutors said. The victim's parents did not initially report the incident, but an anonymous note written at school eventually prompted an investigation by the Redwood City Police Department, police said.

A second victim, a 16-year-old girl, reported in 2021 that Cisneros had molested her at their church. Authorities then re-contacted the first victim and got a detailed statement that led to felony charges, prosecutors said.
Cisneros was remanded into custody without bail. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 5.
