Mt Zion Food Pantry - Donations Requested to provide food to low income families with children.

The Mt. Zion Food Pantry in San Mateo County is requesting donations for purchasing and providing non-perishable food for a Food Pantry we are starting that will feed low income families with children in the San Mateo County community. This pantry will provide non-perishable food to the 30 – 35 families in this community who do not get the free breakfast and lunch during the school days when school is out or when the schools take break. The current high cost of rent and shelter makes it difficult for low income families to provide meals for the children when their living expenses are so high. Our Pantry is set up for providing all donated food to families with children on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm twice a month. We will be endorsing any corporate or private donation through social media and flyers that will be distributed with the food to each family. This pantry will be run by volunteers and all donations will be used to purchase the food.
