Peninsula Rollover Crash Leads To 2 Arrests On Gun Charges

Officers responded to a report of the crash Sunday at around 10:40 p.m.

SAN MATEO — A suspected DUI rollover crash Sunday night led to two arrests on gun charges, San Mateo police said.

Officers responding to a report of the crash at around 10:40 p.m. found the two vehicle occupants and stopped one as they attempted to run away, police said.

A gun and several rounds of ammunition were found in the vehicle according to police.

Junior Casey Leapagadelao, 26 of San Francisco, was arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and prohibited possession of ammunition, police said.

Angelica Nataline Reyes, 35 of Richmond, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, resisting, obstructing or delaying a police officer and disorderly conduct, police said.

Both suspects were medically evaluated at a local trauma center and transported to San Mateo County Jail for booking, police said.
