The Port Commission has granted a $5,000 sponsorship to the Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation (PYSF) for their youth sailing program in Redwood City.
PYSF has operated their program out of the Port for a number of years. They have partnered with the Sequoia Yacht Club (SYC) and assist with the SYC Youth Sailing program.
PYSF Director Molly O’Bryan Vandemoer says that youth participation has doubled to nearly 100 since the organization’s exposure as a co-sponsor of the Port’s annual PortFest last October.
