Redwood City Holiday Schedule for City Hall, Community Centers, and Libraries

Do you have paperwork that must be filed before the end of the year? Get busy!

Redwood City, for the most part, is closing up shop for the holidays. Here’s a rundown on closures:

City Hall:

  • Closed Wednesday, December 24, 2014 through Friday, January 2, 2015
  • Reopens on Monday, January 5, 2015

Community Centers:

  • Closed Monday, December 22, 2014 through Sunday, January 4, 2015
  • Reopens on Monday, January 5, 2015
  • Exceptions:
    • Fair Oaks Community Center will be open from 8 am - 5pm, on Monday and Tuesday December 22 & 23 as well as Monday and Tuesday December 29 & 30. The Center will resume normal operating hours on January 5, 2015.
    • Veterans Memorial Senior Center will be open for Bingo on Sunday, January 4th, 2015.
    • The Red Morton Gymnasium will be closed from Wednesday, December 17 through Wednesday, January 7 for gym floor refinishing.

Libraries:

  • Closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25, 2014
  • Closed Wednesday, December 31, 2014 and Thursday, January 1, 2015
  • Other than the noted holidays, the Library will be open during their regular business hours.

Essential services including police, fire and public works, are not affected by holiday closures or special hours. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911. For urgent but non-emergency issues, or to report after-hours public works problems (signal light, street, or water issues), call the police department’s dispatch line at 650-780-7100.
