Redwood City's 'Haunt Your Home' Contest Deadline Is This Friday

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Put your ghoulish imagination to the test and join Redwood City for its annual Halloween home decorating contest! But you have to hurry. The deadline to enter is Friday, Oct. 22.

Residents are encouraged to get "creepy and creative" as they try to "out-BOO" their neighbors for Redwood City’s BEST decorated Halloween home bragging rights.

Entries will be judged on the following categories: scariest, creative, best effects and the coveted judges’ favorite.

Winners will receive fun festive prizes and gift certificates from local businesses and awesome yard signs to proudly display in front of your homes.

After the deadline to apply closes this Friday, judging will take place on the following dates:

• Tuesday, Oct. 26,2021 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
• Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Contest Rules:

• No Entry Fee, FREE!
• Decorate your home, apartment, condo, window, you name it!
• Must be a Redwood City Resident to Enter (Emerald Hills, and North Fair Oaks OK!)
• Decorations, lights and displays must be set up and on during the judging period
