San Mateo County Leads Bay Area In Lowest Unemployment
All nine counties of the San Francisco Bay region last month had unemployment below 5 percent, latest stats show.

BAY AREA, CA – Unemployment rates were below five percent in all nine San Francisco Bay Area counties last month, according to California's Employment Development Department.
San Mateo County had the lowest rate at 2.1 percent, followed by Marin County at 2.3 percent and San Francisco at 2.4 percent.
Solano County had the highest rate at 4.1 percent. In Santa Clara and Sonoma counties, unemployment was below three percent. Alameda, Contra Costa and Napa counties reported unemployment of 3, 3.1 and 3.6 percent, respectively.

Statewide, unemployment was 4.3 percent, compared with 4.1 percent nationwide.
