UPDATE: San Mateo Homicide Suspect In Custody
The man was taken into custody in Redwood City.

UPDATE 7:50 p.m: The man suspected of stabbing a woman to death has been taken into custody, according to San Mateo Police.
Anthony Kirincic, 22, was taken into custody around 7:35 p.m. in Redwood City. North County Regional SWAT Team and Redwood City Police and Fire assisted San Mateo Police in taking Kirincic into custody.

Redwood City Police have asked residents to avoid Massachusetts Avenue at Alameda De Las Pulgas, Hempstead, Maddux and Maryland due to police activity.

The closure is due to the sighting of a suspect in a homicide case being investigated by San Mateo Police.
From the San Mateo Police:
SMPD Detectives on surveillance detail believe they have spotted the wanted suspect in our homicide case from Saturday 11/28. The location is the area of Alameda and Massachusetts in Redwood City. Redwood City PD is assisting with street closures, shelter in place order and limited evacuations (more on street closures, etc. available on RWCPD’s NIXLE feed).
SMPD is set up in a unified command with assisting agencies, and actively working to safely take the suspect into custody. We will provide more information as this situation develops, and that is all the information available for now.
