Shooting Investigating Underway In SMC Following Report: Police

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Officers are conducting an investigation after they received a call that someone had been shot early Wednesday morning in Redwood City.

Officers responded to a report that an individual had been shot near the intersection of Fernside Street and Hastings Avenue.

The police department said that this appears to be an isolated incident and assured the public there is no ongoing threat.

The investigation is still in its early stages and remains ongoing.

Police have not released further details at this time.
