County officials say to brace for an overnight storm.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County officials on Wednesday warned area residents to brace for a strong storm system predicted to slam down on the Peninsula. The Woodside Fire Protection District issued an alert that 2 to 3 inches of heavy rain are predicted overnight.
They also shared the following advice:
- Check drains and catch basins to make sure they are clear of debris.
- Insure sump pumps are functioning.
- Reduce speed on all roadways.
- Do not drive through deep standing water.
- Stay away from all downed power lines.
According to the National Weather Service, moderate to locally heavy rainfall will continue in the Bay Area through early Thursday afternoon thanks to an "atmospheric river."
