SUV Flips Over On Peninsula Freeway

The SUV collided with a black Toyota on northbound I-280 about 1:15 p.m. today.

REDWOOD CITY, CA --The driver of a white SUV suffered minor injuries Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 280 just south of Vista Point in Redwood City, the California Highway Patrol said. The SUV collided with a black Toyota on northbound I-280 about 1:15 p.m. today.

The SUV landed on its roof, and its driver was taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to CHP Officer Damian Cistaro.

No one in the Toyota was injured.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation this afternoon, Cistaro said.

Only one lane was blocked, and the CHP didn't call a SigAlert indicating a tie-up of a traffic lane for at least 30 minutes.
