The winners were Elise in the ages 3–8 category, Haley in the ages 9–13 category, Naylee in the ages 14–18 category, and Karen in the Future Voter category.

“I'd like to give a special thanks to Talisha Brent and the Teen Advisory Board for serving on the judges panel to pick the winning designs. Not an easy job,” said Mayor Elmer Martínez Saballos.

After the winners were announced, the mayor congratulated the young artists and described the contest as a way to build civic participation.

“I know that some of the young folks who are here in this room are going to end up sitting at this dais. So we're excited to see your growth,” he said.

The city’s announcement made the contest’s purpose tangible as winning artwork would appear at voting locations, giving youth a visible role in the local election season.
