The junior running back racked up 239 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns in a win over Iowa State, bringing his season total to nine scores and putting him among the national leaders in touchdowns and yards per carry.

California Environmental Law & Policy Update 9.25.26 (jdsupra.com) β Richmond residents are being asked to weigh in on a $93.4 million EPA plan to dredge and cap contaminated sediment at the United Heckathorn Superfund site, with an open house set for Oct. 21. The broader update also covers new state laws on data centers, batteries, and landfills, plus regional water and air-quality issues that could indirectly affect Bay Area communities.

From sweat equity to DOE grant: How Coreshell scaled up silicon anode manufacturing (lbl.gov) β A battery startup that began in a modest Richmond warehouse has grown into a venture now building a gigafactory for silicon-anode batteries with support from federal and state grants. Co-founder Roger Basu describes how early sweat equity in Richmond, plus access to advanced tools at the Foundry, helped the company evolve from benchtop experiments to large prototype cells and a full pilot manufacturing line.

LifeLong Medical strike: East Bay workers rally in Richmond (richmondside.org) β Healthcare workers at Richmond's William Jenkins Medical Center held a one-day strike over pay and workload, even as patients like local residents reported mostly normal access to care. Union leaders say low wages and staffing are driving attrition, while LifeLong Medical cites financial pressures and insists it has offered raises and workload provisions as negotiations continue.
