3 Alarm Fire Damages Oakland Apartment Building
Residents scrambled to safety from the four story building in the pre-dawn darkness.

OAKLAND, CA — Firefighters this morning remain at the scene of a three-alarm residential structure fire in Oakland.
The fire broke out at a four-story building in the 3800 block of Harrison Street. Firefighters responded to heavy fire showing from the building.
The fire was first reported at around 4:05 a.m. and was reported under control at around 5 a.m.

There were several people evacuated from the building, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There were no serious injuries reported in the blaze.
