4 Arrested Following Oakland Police Chase

Police gave chase as part of a robbery investigation.

OAKLAND, CA — Oakland police arrested four suspects after a pursuit through city streets that went for over 2 miles Thursday afternoon.

Officers spotted a car that matched the description of one involved in a robbery in the area of Seventh Avenue and International Boulevard at about 2:25 p.m., according to police.

When police tried to stop the car, it fled, leading the officers on a pursuit through city streets until they reached the 2800 block of Chapman Street in the Jingletown neighborhood. The suspects got out of the car and fled into the neighborhood, police said.

Police set up a perimeter and searched for the suspects, eventually finding and detaining all four of them.

No one was injured during the pursuit or search, police said.
