Bicycle-riding Robber Shoots Victim: Oakland Police

The victim was shot in the leg after being robbed in East Oakland.

A man was robbed and shot by a suspect on a bicycle in East Oakland early this morning, according to police.

The shooting was reported at 12:10 a.m. in the 1800 block of 104th Avenue.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, approached the victim on a bicycle, robbed him and then shot him in the left thigh.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound and is in stable condition, police said.

The suspect fled on the bicycle. He is described as a black man in his 30s with a medium complexion standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.

At the time of the robbery he was wearing a jacket with green squares and black pants, police said.
