Bookstore Presents Music Night with AVRAM SIEGEL & BLAINE SPROUSE

Every month, banjo and guitar impresario, Avram Siegel, brings his legendary musical chops to DIESEL in a series of musical performances with local and traveling musicians. This month he is joined by the legendary fiddle player, Blaine Sprouse.

Please note: There is a $10 cover charge to attend this event and all proceeds go to the musicians, who deserve it. The doors open at 8:30pm and the show starts at 9. Seats fill up fast so get here early!

Avram Siegel is a banjo player with a local bluegrass band, the Faultliners. He teaches regularly at the Freight and Salvage in Berkely, and is an occasional banjo instructor at CBA Bluegrass Camp. He has been teaching bluegrass ensemble/jam classes for many years and has performed with numerous bands including Kathy Kallick Band, True Blue, the Grant Street String Band, the Vern Williams Band, and Peter Rowan.

Blaine Sprouse is a legendary fiddle player and all you have to do is hear him to know why. He has played with numerous bluegrass bands and has three critically acclaimed solo recordings. Also a gifted mandolin and guitar player, Sprouse is at home in bluegrass, blues, swing, jazz, and folk. As he stated in a Fretsmagazine profile, “Music is my life, I just love to play”.
