East Oakland Home Catches Fire

No injuries were reported in the one-alarm fire, which was reported at 2:10 p.m.

OAKLAND, CA -- Firefighters brought a blaze under control this afternoon at an East Oakland home, a dispatcher said. The fire in the 1300 block of 106th Avenue burned the roof of the house, according to a Twitter post by Oakland firefighters.

No injuries were reported in the one-alarm fire, which was reported at 2:10 p.m. and under control at 2:42 p.m., the dispatcher said.

No information was immediately available about how the fire started or the extent of damage.
