Black Cowboy Parade and Festival

For more than a quarter century, the Black Cowboy Parade, held in memory of the black cowboys that helped to settle the American West, has been an annual event in Oakland.  The parade begins at deFremery Park where the festival hosts food vendors, entertainment and children’s activities including pony rides.
