Hit-And-Run Killed Unborn Baby: Vehicle Photo Released
Oakland Police have released a photo of the vehicle from last August's crash.

OAKLAND, CA — Police are asking for help identifying a suspect and the suspect's vehicle following a fatal hit-and-run collision last year in East Oakland.
At 9:15 p.m. on August 27 police responded to 78th and Bancroft avenues to investigate a report of a hit-and-run collision involving pedestrians.
Police said two pedestrians were taken to a hospital where both were in critical but stable condition after suffering major injuries.

But one of the victims, a 19-year-old woman, was pregnant and her unborn child died days later though doctors performed an emergency operation.
Police said according to surveillance video the suspect's vehicle was a newer light-colored 4-door Hyundai with damage to its front end and windshield. The car may have been silver in color.

Police said the video footage shows the Hyundai traveling east on Bancroft Avenue when it struck the pedestrians who were in a marked crosswalk.
After the collision, the Hyundai continued east on Bancroft Avenue.
