Killer Gets Long Prison Sentence
He pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the case.

OAKALND, CA - A 22-year-old Oakland man was sentenced today to a term of 15 years to life in state prison for fatally shooting another man in East Oakland two years ago.
Miguel Salinas recently pleaded no contest to second-degree murder for killing Reginald Beamon, a 28-year-old Oakland man who was found shot to death in the 8200 block of Bancroft Avenue at about 6:16 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2014.
Salinas was sentenced by Alameda County Superior Court Judge Paul Delucchi today.
