Update: Power Restored to Most Oakland Residents

OAKLAND, CA — PG&E reports that a large power outage in Oakland, originally affecting 612 customers, now impacts less than 20. The area is west of Highway 13.

Meanwhile, there are pockets of outages around the city, each affecting less than 100 customers.

Oakland is faring much better than the South Bay. The Santa Clata Valley has more than 10,000 customers without electricity right now in San Jose and Santa Clara alone.
