Man, 21, Fatally Shot in Oakland

A 21-year-old man was shot to death in Oakland Thursday evening, according to police. Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Mitchell Street near the corner of 27th Avenue and International Boulevard at 7:22 p.m., Oakland police said. Officers found the victim, Daniel Ellis, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. Ellis, an Oakland resident, died at the scene, police said.
