
OAKLAND, CA — The man shot to death by a BART Police officer in Oakland Wednesday has been identified as 28-year-old Shaleem Tindle of Oakland. His name was released by the Oakland Police Department, which is investigating the incident.
A BART Police officer at the West Oakland station responded to a shooting at Seventh and Chester streets. After issuing several orders to the gunman, who ignored the orders, was shot by the officer. Investigators recovered Tindle's gun at the scene.
The officer who fired his gun was wearing a body cam that recorded that whole incident.

The other man, who reportedly suffered a gunshot wound, was taken to the hospital for treatment but has since been released.
