Oakland Hires Jon Gruden To Lead Team Again
Jon Gruden previously served as head coach of the Raiders from 1998 to 2001.

OAKLAND, CA -- The Oakland Raiders announced a new head coach Saturday after firing their former coach Dec. 31 at the end of the football season, team officials said. Jon Gruden is replacing former head coach Jack Del Rio.
Gruden previously served as head coach of the Raiders from 1998 to 2001. For nearly the past 10 years Gruden has been a broadcaster.
With the Raiders, Gruden won 38 games and lost 26. He led the Raiders to conference championships in 2000 and 2001.

From 2002 to 2008 Gruden was the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and led the team to a win in Super Bowl XXXVII.
