OAKLAND, CA — Oakland police are investigating the shooting death of a man Sunday night in the east central part of the city.
The shooting was reported at 8:53 p.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of Laguna Way, about a block south of Interstate Highway 580 near Coolidge Avenue. Police Officer R. Morales said officers arrived there to find the victim with a gunshot wound to the head. That man, whose name was not
released, was pronounced dead at the scene, Morales said.
No arrests had been made as of 10:45 p.m. Sunday, and the shooting remains under investigation. — Bay City News
