Oakland Police Officer Stabbed; Suspect Arrested
The officer had just ended their shift when the stabbing happened.
OAKLAND, CA — An Oakland police officer is being treated at Highland Hospital in Oakland after being stabbed early Thursday evening, police report.
Oakland Police said the the officer had just completed a shift and was walking to their car when the stabbing occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The stabbing happened at Sixth and Jefferson streets.

The suspect quickly arrested.
Police have not released any names or a motive for the stabbing.
