Officer Injured As Man Drives Straight At Cop
The foot patrol officer was treated by medical personnel at the scene.

OAKLAND, CA — An Oakland police officer was injured on Wednesday night when a car struck him and knocked him to the ground, police said.
The foot patrol officer was walking in the 1900 block of International Boulevard at about 11:35 p.m. Wednesday when he directed a vehicle that was possibly involved in illegal activity to pull over,
according to police.
However, the driver of the vehicle accelerated toward the officer and struck him, causing the officer to fall to the pavement, according to police.

Medical personnel were dispatched to the scene and the officer was treated and released at the scene, police said.
The suspect is still at large.
