OPD Officer Hit By Drunk Driver: Police

OAKLAND, CA — A police motor officer was hit by a drunk driver late Monday night in Oakland, police said.

According to Oakland police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson, the officer was hit around 11:30 p.m. in the 5700 block of International Boulevard.

The officer was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, Watson said.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, Watson said.
