Property Stolen From ATF Agent's Car

The vehicle was parked near the federal courthouse in Oakland, officials said.

OAKLAND, CA – Property was stolen from the car of a special agent for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives while it was parked near the federal courthouse in Oakland earlier this week, an ATF spokeswoman said today.

Ginger Colbrun of the ATF said, "We are aggressively pursuing all leads and working closely with our local partners to quickly identify the individuals responsible and return the property."

Colbrun said she couldn't provide further details about the ongoing investigation, such as what property was stolen or whether it included firearms.

The burglary occurred Tuesday evening near the U.S. District Court building at 1301 Clay St. in Oakland.
