East Bay Flag is supported by local high school coaches, players and parent volunteers who coach and train the kids.

East Bay Flag Football is a California non-profit with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. In 2014, the organization donated $4,000 to Childrens’ Hospital Oakland and BayKids. This year they hope to give even more.

The upcoming Spring Season takes place on Saturdays from April 11th to June 6th. Practices and games will be at the Oakland High School football field, at Park and MacArthur Boulevard near Oakland’s Glenview neighborhood. Free parking is available in the Oakland High parking lot.

Registration fee is $190 per player. Family discounts apply and need-based scholarships are available. Each player receives an NFL team reversible jersey, membership in USA Football, and eligibility for the NFL FLAG regional tournament this fall at the Oakland Raiders practice facility in Alameda. Winners in each division at the regional tournament advance to NFL FLAG’s national tournament.

There are no formal mid-week practices in this “family friendly” program. The Spring season consists of a 1-hour practice, immediately followed by a 1-hour game each week.

The league has four co-ed divisions grouped by age. 7- to 8-year-olds practice and play from 9 to 11 a.m.; 9- to 10-year-olds from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 11- to 12-year-olds from 1 to 3 p.m.; and 13- to 15-year-olds from 3 to 5 p.m.

To register, and for more information, go to www.eastbayflag.com or call league President, Adam McNulty, at (510) 388-6669.
