Sprouts & Shutters: Herbal Medicine Shop Opens in Temescal

The money has been raised and the store is now open.

Homestead Apothecary opened its doors on Wednesday at 486-C 49th St. in Temescal Alley.

The store features herbal medicine, holistic education and botanical inspired art.

Owner Nicholas Weinstein said Homestead Apothecary sells medications for common everyday ailments such as colds, but it also provides information on preventive health care.

Weinstein raised funds for the store through indiegogo.com. The drive raised $5,000.
