Police arrested an Oakland man Friday after a fatal shooting near the Fruitvale BART station. The shooting in the 3300 block of Elmwood Avenue was reported just before 8 p.m. Friday, according to police. Officers responding to the scene found a man with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. The suspect was arrested at the scene. Police today were not immediately releasing the names of the victim or suspect.--Bay City News
