Suspects At-Large After Shooting Near Oakland Schools

A shooting happened near The Bridges Academy of Melrose and the Melrose Elementary School.

OAKLAND, CA --A person was injured in one of two shootings that occurred 15 minutes apart in Oakland Friday morning, police said Saturday. The first shooting was reported at 4:15 a.m. in the 5400 block of International Boulevard near The Bridges Academy of Melrose and the Melrose Elementary School.

Police said no one was injured and the two suspects are at-large.

The second shooting occurred at 4:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of 62nd Avenue in East Oakland. A victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, police said.
