Victim Shot Near Lake Merritt

OAKLAND, CA — A victim was shot multiple times near the south end of Lake Merritt in Oakland on Wednesday night, according to police.

The victim was shot in the 1200 block of Lake Merritt Boulevard at 10:24 p.m. and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

Five suspects fled the area and remain at large. Police provided no description of the suspects.
