Visions for Vacancies: Former Agatha Rainford

The former Agatha Rainford store went up for lease last month.  Are there any shops you would like to see take this spot?

This space is located at 6025 College Ave. near Claremont Avenue and right next door to Spasso Coffee House. Agatha Rainford was a women’s apparel store. I spoke with the broker who is leasing the space. He can’t recall exactly how long the store was there but believes it was at least 12 years. He said the reason why she decided to close was the owner simply wanted a change of scenery.

College Avenue’s zoning regulations promote ground-floor retail. Other uses require a use permit and a public hearing. At any rate, the landlord prefers that the space remain retail. The space has 1,130 square feet on the ground floor and an additional 300 square feet on a mezzanine.
