OAKLAND, CA — A woman died of her injuries at the scene of an assault early Monday morning in East Oakland, according to police.Officers responded to the 7200 block of Hamilton Street, near Hegenberger Road, at 4:16 a.m. Monday on a report of an assault.Details about what kind of assault occurred, and if a weapon was used, were not immediately available from police.
