ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — Rohnert Park police conducted a citywide sex offender compliance sweep Thursday that covered 61 registered offenders living in the city.
That number includes 10 people under active California state parole or Sonoma County probation supervision, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officials said in a public announcement.
Investigators visited registrants at their listed residences, reviewed registration records, and checked whether offenders were following state laws and supervision requirements.
Officers found all but one registrant in compliance during the operation, according to the announcement.
Police said they detained Trevor Reynolds on suspicion of violating parole. Authorities booked Reynolds into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility following the sweep, according to the announcement.
The department said officers make regular sweeps to monitor convicted offenders, maintain updated registration information, and enforce supervision conditions tied to parole and probation.
Officials also encouraged residents to review California’s Megan’s Law database for information about registered offenders living in their neighborhoods.
State law allows certain offender information to remain public for community awareness, though not every registrant qualifies for public disclosure.
Questions should be directed to Detective Sgt. Quinn at (707) 588-3514.
