ROHNERT PARK, CA — Police in Rohnert Park asked for the public's help Saturday finding the driver of a silver Dodge SUV who allegedly struck two young people riding an electric scooter on Friday night, leaving one of them with major injuries.
The driver allegedly fled the scene of the collision, which occurred at about 9:25 p.m. at the intersection of Bodway Parkway and Waterside Lane, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Two minors riding a scooter together were struck by the SUV and one suffered significant injuries.
The driver allegedly fled without trying to help, police said.
The Department of Public Safety released a still image of the vehicle allegedly taken from surveillance footage near the collision. It was described as a 2004-2009 silver Dodge Durango SUV.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or driver was asked to call the Rohnert Park Police Department at (707) 588-268 and ask for Officer Hayes.
