NOVATO, CA — Two Santa Rosa men were arrested early Sunday after Novato police responded to a tip about people selling cocaine in a shopping center parking lot and found one suspect carrying a loaded ghost gun, authorities said.
Officers said they were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. to the Novato Fair Shopping Center following a report of two men offering cocaine for sale from a car that was leaving the area.
A search of the car turned up several bags of cocaine packaged for sale on one passenger, identified as Cory Hernandez Padilla, 18. A second passenger, Lamar Perryman, 23, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, was found carrying a loaded firearm with no serial number.
Padilla was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of possession of cocaine for sale, and Perryman was booked on the outstanding warrant, felon in possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a firearm with no serial number, police said.
