ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — Ending months of speculation and setting the stage for a new fast-food competitor in the North Bay, a nationally known chicken-finger chain is bringing its first location to Sonoma County.
Raising Cane's is officially setting up shop in Rohnert Park, with a planned opening in September 2027.
The restaurant will mark the company's first announced Sonoma County location, expanding Raising Cane's Northern California footprint and adding another national brand to the city's restaurant lineup.
Reports suggest the restaurant is expected to occupy the former Amy's Drive Thru site in Rohnert Park, although Raising Cane's has not publicly confirmed the location.
More details, including the restaurant's address, construction timeline, and hiring plans, are expected as the project moves forward.
The Rohnert Park restaurant is one of four new California locations the company is developing as it continues an aggressive expansion across the state.
Since its founding in 1996, the Louisiana-based company has grown to more than 1,000 restaurants in 43 U.S. states, as well as Mexico and, beginning in 2027, the United Kingdom.
