ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — Firefighters and police evacuated residents after a late-night apartment fire broke out at a fourplex Thursday night.
Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting the fire at about 10:01 p.m. Thursday.
One apartment in a four-unit building on Kirsten Court was engulfed in flames, while numerous residents had already gathered outside, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Police evacuated the building as fire crews attacked the blaze.
The Sonoma County Fire District and Petaluma Fire Department assisted with the response.
Crews contained the fire to the apartment where it started. The remaining three units were not damaged, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Officials did not report any injuries or announce the cause of the fire. The incident remains under investigation.
