SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa police detectives found six firearms, including an illegal assault weapon, and a hand grenade while executing a search warrant at a home Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Detectives from the department's Narcotics Team, along with K9 officers and the Special Enforcement Team, served the warrant at about 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday on the 1700 block of Stony Point Road. The two residents were identified as Austin Gilbert, 40, and Casey Gilbert, 34, according to police.

Police said Casey Gilbert was on felony pretrial services and prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.
Detectives said they also found a hand grenade and contacted the Sonoma County Bomb Squad.
Bomb squad personnel said they determined that some of the grenade's inner components had been removed but raised concerns that they may have been replaced with unknown components or explosive substances.
The grenade was safely removed from the scene, police said.
Casey Gilbert was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possessing an assault weapon and a destructive device, possessing an undetectable firearm, and violating pretrial services, police said.
