Authorities: Hospitalized Teen was Beaten, Robbed of $30
A Rosemont teen was hospitalized Sunday night.

A 16-year-old walking home from a Rosemont store Sunday night was beaten and robbed of $30, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said the boy was walking home around 8 p.m., when he was jumped near Tallyho Drive and Kiefer Boulevard by three suspects who were described as either Hispanic or light-skinned black males wearing hooded sweatshirts.
"The victim had no idea what the motive for the attack was, other than the apparent robbery motive," Ramos said in an email. "The victim suffered bruising and swelling to his face and jaw, and had difficulty speaking. He also sustained abrasions to his wrists and knee."
