'Allow me to (Re)-Introduce Myself'
How a Rosemont man went from selling CDs in front of the liquor store to running a record label and music entertainment business.
If you can relate the title of this blog to a song in which the main artist is a big-nosed man who goes by (fill in the blank here), then you get two points in my book. Who am I, you may ask? Well I will tell you as brief and detailed as possible, with little tidbits of, how you say, embelishment here and there.
I have lived in Rosemont for the past 23 years and have loved it and still love it every day! This is the best little city/community in Sacramento and it continues to grow every year with schools and park stuff and now with music labels. Which leads to a little short story of a man with a dream of being famous and a reality of helping others to reach this said fame that he thought he was entitled to.
It all started at Rosemont Liquor, where this young man would sell his debut album entitled "The Rosemont Mixtape" with the hit single "Welcome to the Mont" right in the front of the store to the customers passing and the people just walking the busy streets of Kiefer. This man would play his CD on his boombox to the ears of those who gave him at least 30 seconds of their busy lives.

Some would buy the CD and support, while others would tell the man that it wasn't him on the CD–he should stop trying to sell other peoples music–and even others would just say no, I'm really not interested in that kind of music. What kind of music, you may ask?
Well if you had to put it into a category I guess it would be hip-hop/soul/pop/other. What went on of this man you ask? He stopped being selfish and took his salemanship skills and promotional talents to help others in his city and some local Rosemont talents–one local from the great supermarket Save Mart.

Long story short, today this man is running his own label out of Rosemont using a P.O. Box for the fan mail and music submissions. He currently has four artists that he is strongly focusing on gaining more exposure for and helping them to grow from minor to major artist status.
In case you don't know yet this man is me. Talking in the third person is so much fun "sometimes" – not all the time. For those Seinfield fans who might know what I'm talking about, ha! Good times.
I'm glad you took the time to read this, and maybe if you get a chance you could check out the artists that I'm trying to help and take 30 seconds of your life to listen and enjoy. I'm not selling CDs in front of the liquor store anymore. We are selling on iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, Dimple, and soon Best Buy and The Beat in downtown Sacramento.
