Day 3 - CCHS Coast 2 Coast II Plays Some Basketball

Day three - hard to believe we are halfway through our mission trip already.  Today's blog will be a bit brief, as we have to leave early for our drive to Portland Friday.

Today we started our day with a trip to Silver Falls and a really nice hike around the north and south ends of the park. There was such beautiful scenery, interesting foliage and lots of hiking.

After our hike we were all hungry and tired, so we stopped for a quick lunch; then we were able to go back to our hotel and get some much-needed rest before we played our games.

Tonight we played two games at Salem Academy. We lost both games but being able to play other schools gives us time on the court and helps us work together as a team.  We played hard and strong, especially our second game and were ahead most of the second half and only lost by two.

As you can imagine, hiking for hours and two back-to-back basketball games can wear us out.  We will end our day with our daily devotions and then off to bed.

We leave for Portland at 6:45 a.m., so we will sign off for tonight and will check back in Friday with more of our adventures.
