One Week Until the Doggy Dash

Only one week left until Team Teri hits the pavement for the Sacramento SPCA's 2011 5K Doggy Dash walk.  Team Teri (consisting of myself, my husband Matt and our beloved Rat Terrier, Teri) has been working hard the past few months soliciting donations from friends and family to help us reach our $2,000 goal.  We have been overwhelmed by many generous donations!  All proceeds from the dash go directly to shelter programs and services.  As of today, Team Teri has $1,792. 

As active foster parents for the SSPCA (see attached video), and having previously been  employed there, I know first hand the valuable work and dedication this organization provides to the community. The SSPCA has services for not only the general public, such as low-cost vaccination, low cost spay/neuter clinic and obedience classes, but an educational childrens camp and various senior programs as well! 

This year alone the SSPCA will care for 13,500 animals and place more than 1,200 into foster care, allowing them to grow, mature and rehabilitate prior to adoption().   If you can, please consider making a donation.  Remember, no donation is too small!
