Summer Training, Running For a Reason, More
Tracy runs the Davis Moo'nlight Run, prepares for the Disneyland Half Marathon, signs up for the California International Marathon and more.
I still have been running but there are few races in July, probably due to the heat–though it hasn't been too bad this year.
I ran the Davis Moo'nlight 10K on July 16. This is a fun run because it is at night... hence "Moo'nlight." The organizers hand out glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark shirts which make it a very festive race. This was a training run for the Disneyland Half Marathon I'm running over Labor Day weekend. Hard to believe the half marathon is only a month away.
Last weekend I signed up for the California International Marathon. I am really going to run 26.2 miles or die trying! I'm running for a reason with Be Change. The goal of Be Change is to match every student at Oak Ridge Elementary School with a runner in order to provide each student with health care, food and other necessities we take for granted. Training for the CIM began Monday, so it is not too late to sign up and join us. Contact Be Change for more information.
